The cry of a baby during baptism is very common. Once a baptism was going on. The started sucking the hand and crying severely. We were concentrating on the ceremony. The mother was just looking at the baby with lots of love and concern.
She was feeling helpless to feed the hungry baby with breast milk. A mother can know the need of a baby from its each movement and sound. Only a mother reads a baby well because she is filled with lots of love.
Unless and until one becomes a mother whether man or a woman, the person is not complete. To be human, to be loving, I must be motherly. Jesus was very motherly. In the story of good shepherd, Jesus was a mother. Jesus told Philip (Jn 6:5) the people has to be fed. When daughter of Jairus was healed, Jesus told them to give food for her (Lk 8:55). That was her need of that time. Knowing the need of a person each time is motherliness.
